GP COLLABORATIVE & OUT OF HOURS SERVICE

The GP Collaborative Service is available for patients requiring assessment by a GP during evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

It is possible to arrange an appointment at the GP Centre based at the Northern General Hospital or at one of the Sheffield GP hubs.

Home visits are also available if appropriate.

OUT OF HOURS SERVICES

If you require medical advice or attention outside of our opening hours there are several options available.

NHS 111 SERVICE

Calls to 111 are free from land lines and mobile phones.

The NHS 111 service which has been introduced to make it easier for you to access your local NHS healthcare services in England.

SHEFFIELD WALK IN CENTRE

The NHS Walk in Centre at Broad Lane is open between 08.00-22.00 every day.

You do not need an appointment in advance.

You will be assessed by an experienced NHS nurse or GP

The NHS 111 service is staffed by a team of fully trained advisers, supported by experienced nurses and paramedics.

They will ask you questions to assess your symptoms, then give you the healthcare advice you need or direct you to the local service that can help you best.

That could be A&E, an out of hours doctor, an urgent care centre or a walk in centre, a community nurse, an emergency dentist or a late-opening pharmacy.
