When you join the practice you will be asked to complete a pre-registration health questionnaire, after which an appointment will be made for you with the practice nurse, for a routine new patient health check.

 

The Pre-Registration Health Questionnaire for both adults and children can be downloaded from this website, or from reception at the practice.

Antenatal Clinic

Held by:  The Practice Midwife

Time:      Every Monday between 1.30pm and 3.30pm - By appointment

The Community Midwife provides care for mothers before and after delivery, and care for the baby in the first stages of life.

The midwife liaises with the GP, the health visitor and the maternity unit (Jessop Wing) at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

 

Written details of normal antenatal and postnatal care will be provided at your booking appointment.

Mother and Baby Clinic

Held by:     Dr Kay L Francis

Time:        Alternate Tuesdays between 1pm and 2.30pm

 

This is a drop in clinic run with the help of the Health Visitor for children under the age of 5. It is held every alternate Wednesday between 1pm and 2.30pm.

Diabetes Clinic

Held by:  The Practice Nurse

Time:      These appointments are held during normal sessions.

 

These appointments are made for you annually. The practice will invite you by letter to attend for your review.

 

Asthma Clinic

Held by:    The Practice Nurse

Time:       These appointments are held during normal sessions.

 

These appointments are held annually. The practice will invite you by letter to attend for your annual review.

Counselling

Held by:  The Practice Counsellor

Time:     By GP appointment only

 

The practice counsellor provides a counselling service to those patients referred by a practice doctor.

 

Counselling

Held by:  IAPT High Intensity CBT Trainee

Time:     By GP appointment only

 

This clinic is for patients who have been referred by a doctor of the practice. Each session is of a 1 hour duration.

Well Woman Clinic

Held by: Dr Ferguson

Time: These appointments are held during normal sessions

 

These appointments are for contraception services and women’s health issues and can be booked by the GP or nurse.

Travel Health Clinic

Held by: Practice Nurse

Time: By appointment

 

These appointments are for patients planning to travel abroad. Before your appointment please complete patient travel form which is available on this website or from the reception desk.
